Welcome to Somerford House

Pat and Tony Pooley welcome you to their delightful 16th century farmhouse, set in 5 acres of garden and paddocks in the middle of the village of Little Somerford, near the country’s oldest Royal Ancient Borough town of Malmesbury on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Bedrooms available are two double (one of which is a suite with a sitting/living area and en-suite bathroom), one twin and one single bedroom with private bathrooms.

Set in the beautiful countryside of the North Wiltshire / Gloucestershire border, we are within easy reach of Cirencester, Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton, Bath, Lacock and of course the Cotswolds. Whether it is pre-historic, Roman or medieval Britain, or more recent but wonderfully historic National Trust houses and gardens that most interests you, we are in the middle of a wide selection of all of them, and if you want to stay more than one night, daily trips in different directions will give you a wealth of visiting opportunities!

We are also conveniently close to Badminton and Gatcombe for the horse trials; Cirencester and Beaufort for the polo; Castle Combe for motor racing; and of course Bath for rugby.
